Deportivo Alaves hosts Leganes
Deportivo Alaves hosts Leganes at the Estadio de Mendizorroza in a first match from the 17th round of La Liga. That’s a pretty great time to give some more of our La Liga predictions.
Deportivo Alaves lost their last two games in the league against Real Madrid and Granada, so on Friday they will try to get back to winning again. Right now they are 15th in the league with 18 points and with a record of 5 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses. Surely there’s some room for improvement in the way they perform and the manager Asier Garitano knows this very well.
Last week Alaves had a visit to Granada at the Nuevo Los Carmenes which didn’t end very well for them. The home team dominated the game and celebrated a convincing 3-0 win. Garitano’s team finished the match with 9 men on the pitch because Victor Laguardia and Wakaso Mubarak got sent off. They will not be avaliable for the match against Leganes on Friday.
Leganes are having a season to forget so far. They are in the relegation zone of La Liga being 19th with just 9 points won. In 16 games played so far Leganes won just twice. They are 5 points behind the 17th Mallorca and the safe zone, so they must start winning points soon before they get into a desperate situation.
Last week Leganes achieved an important second win in the league. They hosted Celta and made an important step towards the right direction. After just 55 minutes of playing Leganes already had a clear 3-0 lead. Oscar Rodriguez scored twice for the hosts, while Kevin Rodrigues added one more. Until the end of the game Celta scored two goals, but it was not enough for them.
In our La Liga predictions we believe this is going to be a competitive game between these two teams. Deportivo Alaves will look to end their bad run in the last two weeks, while Leganes are hungry for points as well.
