Salah wants the “Golden Boot” and the two goals in the Premier League
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah hopes he will be able to maintain his lead over Harry Kain for the Premier League prize in the Premier League. The 25-year-old Egyptian has 30 hits in 32 Merseyside Championship matches while Kane has four goals less with only four rounds left until the end of the season.
“My teammates are trying to help me with the goals because they know that I’m trying to win the Golden Boot, which is an individual prize, but with hits I help the team score points,” said the former Roma player and Chelsea.
Salah added that the goal in front of him is not only to break the record for goals in the 38-match championship but also for the 42 matches that sits at 34 goals.
“The goal in front of me is now only one – to break the record goal in the Premier League.” 31 goals in 38 games means I only need one goal yet, but I want to break the two recordings so I have four matches I score four goals, “he said.
On Saturday, Liverpool was the last to score in the West Bromwich Albion, and on Tuesday he accepted Roma at Anfield in the semi-final of the Champions League.
