Southampton hosts Everton
Let’s head out to the St. Mary’s Stadium, where Southampton hosts Everton in a game from the 23 round of the Premier League. These are our observations in our predictions football 1×2 for today.
At this moment Southampton continue their fight for survival in the English elite. Right now the Saints are 16th in the league standings with 19 points and a record of 4 wins, 7 draws and 11 defeats.
But Southampton’s last game was success. They celebrated a win at the King Power Stadium, beating the hosts Leicester City with 2-1. James Ward-Prowse and Shane Long gave the Saints a pretty good lead, before Wilfred Niddi scored one for the Foxes. But sadly for the home fans, Leicester didn’t have enough tools to at least win a point from the game.
Meanwhile Everton are currently 10th in the Premier League with 30 points. The Toffees are right now enjoying a record of 8 wins, 6 draws and 8 defeats. The truth is that Marco Silva’s boys are much more inconsistent than we tought they are going to be. In the summer the club bought some important players, but it seems like they’d need some time to gel.
In their last five games Everton won twice and made three losses. Their last game was a success, though, beating Bournemouth with 2-0 at the Goodison Park. It was Kurt Zouma and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored for the home side after the halftime break.
Before this win against Bournemouth, Everton suffered two consecutive defeats against Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion. We can say that they really needed this win.
These are our predictions football 1×2 for today for the Premier League fixture between Southampton and Everton at the St. Mary’s. Both teams would like to get the three points here, so it shall be a great game.
