Xavi has some players missing for the game, though. Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele and Pedri are recovering from their injuries so they won’t be available for selection. This means that once again Memphis Depay will be Barcelona’s leading man in attack – the Dutchman has scored 6 goals in La Liga in his debut season.

Meanwhile Sergio Aguero’s future remains uncertain. The Argentine has some heart problems so there are rumours that he could eventually retire from football.

Espanyol are having an okay season so far. Los Pericos are 11th in the standings with 17 points won so far and a record of 4 wins, 5 draws and 4 losses. They won their last game before the international break, though.

Just before the break Espanyol faced Granada at home and enjoyed a 2-0 win. They scored both of their goals in the first half when Adria Pedrosa and Raul de Tomas put the ball in the net. For De Tomas it was his 7th goal for the season – he’s now becoming a very important player for Los Pericos.
