Belgium – Tunisia

Belgium are one of the most exciting teams at the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. The Red Devils already won their first match against Panama, beating the debutants with 3-0. Now they will try to make a second step towards the 1/8-finals, facing Tunisia at the Otkytiye Arena in the capital Moscow. Here are our winning soccer predictions for this clash.

We don’t think that Belgium’s win over Panama was a surprise for anyone. The Red Devils showed their strenght and didn’t face problems against a team which played its first game at the World Cup. Romelu Lukaku scored twice for the Belgian team, while Dries Mertens also shined with a spectacular volley.

This is an incredibly talented generation which Belgium have at the moment. This country have never won the World Cup so far, but now they are dreaming. And they have the right to do so. They have an exceptional squad filled with superstars and a very talented manager, who is hungry for success. Since Roberto Martinez replaced Marc Wilmots as a manager of Belgium, this team became even better than it was.

Against Panama Roberto Martinez used a 3-4-3 formation and most likely he will keep it for the next match as well. Martinez is a flexible coach who can change his approach at any time, but now there ain’t a reason to do so. Everything is going according to plan for the Red Devils. Now they just have to make the next step towards the knockout phase, where the real game begins.

Tunisia had an unlucky start of the World Cup. The African team suffered a dramatic 1-2 loss against England, conceding the second goal in the last seconds of the game. They were pretty close to winning a point, but a Harry Kane strike in the injury time decided the game in favour of the Brits.

The Tunisian team have some problems before their second game in the group. Their starting №1 Mouez Hassen injured himself during the loss against England. Hassen won’t play in the competition anymore and he’s going to be replaced by Farouk Ben Mustapha. It was a bad luck for Tunisia to lose their goalkeeper, but things like this happen in football.

Belgium on the other hand do not have problems with injured players and they can show their best team once again. The only one having problems is the experienced Thomas Vermaelen, who is trying to get back in optimal condition after recovering from an injury. It’s obvious that Vermaelen won’t be a starter for Belgium at the World Cup, but he’s an important and experienced player to have on the bench. That’s why Roberto Martienez called him at first place. He knows that the Barcelona defender is an important figure in the dressing room and he has a good influence on the team.

These are our winning soccer predictions for the World Cup game from Group G between Belgium and Tunisia. There’s no need to say that the Red Devils are a pretty big favourite here. Belgium are one of the best teams at the World Cup and this time they are motivated to do a bigger step and why not reach the the final in Moscow. Surely they have enough reasons to believe that this is possible. Tunisia on the other hand have not arrived in Russia with huge expectations. They know very well that they are among the underdogs in the competition. They had a good chance to win a prestigious point against England, but Harry Kane’s deadly instincts ruined this for them.
