Clop leads the headquarters and some of his players in Tenerife
Liverpool manager Jurgen Clop has decided to give a week-long vacation to his staff and players who are not going to be involved in national team matches. All of them will relax in Tenerife before returning to the decisive stage of the season.
16 players from Liverpool have received calls for their national teams, but players such as Loris Karius, Danny Ward, Alberto Moreno, Nathaniel Klein, Joel Mattype, James Milner and Danny Inggs are exempt from this type of duty. But Clop has decided that it does not make sense for them to remain in England, so he has given them that additional rest.
Liverpool’s next match is on March 31, when Merseyside is visiting Crystal Palace. The heavy series of the 1/4-finals in the Champions League against Manchester City is followed by the derby with Everton on April 7th.
