CSKA Moscow – Real Madrid

The current holder of the Champions League trophy Real Madrid will travel a lot to Moscow, where Julen Lopetegui’s team is going to meet CSKA in a match from Group G of the competition. Let’s take a look in our winning soccer predictions for this clash.

Although they probably hoped for a win, we can say that CSKA Moscow had a positive start of the new campaign in the competition. The Russian club visited Viktoria Pilzen on Czech soil and achieved a very dramatic 2-2 draw at the Doosan Arena. We say dramatic, because until the 95th minute the result was 2-1 in favour of Viktoria. Michal Krmencik have scored a brace for the Czech team, before Fedor Chalov scoring one for CSKA. The game was about to end with a win for Viktoria, but in the last seconds of the match Nikola Vlasic scored a penalty for CSKA and equalized.

Some might say that CSKA didn’t deserve to win a point in this match. But we think the opposite. We think that a team which fights until the last seconds of the game deserves to get something from a game. And that’s what CSKA did in Pilzen.

Real Madrid on the other hand started with a big win their post-Cristiano era in the Champions League. The Spanish giants beat Roma with 3-0 at the Bernabeu, showing their muscles. Isco, Gareth Bale and the new signing Mariano Diaz scored for Los Merengues at the Bernabeu.

It’s true that it’s always better to have a player like Cristiano Ronaldo in the team, but let’s see how Real Madrid will deal with his absence. It’s going to be interesting.

These are our winning soccer predictions for the Champions League clash between CSKA Moscow and Real Madrid in the Russian capital on Tuesday night.

We wish you good luck!
