Hibernian welcomes Rangers
Hibernian welcomes Rangers in a game from the 19th round of the Scottish Premiership on Friday. These are our sure win prediction today for this fixture at the Easter Road Stadium.
So far Hibernian are managing to keep their place in the Top 6 of the Premiership. Right now they are 6th in the standings with 22 points, while their record is showing 5 wins, 7 draws and 6 defeats.
In the previous round Hibernian had a very tough visit to the champion Celtic, which Hibs lost with 0-2 at the Celtic Park. Jack Ross’ boys tried to give their all, but the champions didn’t have problem to clinch the win with goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard.
Rangers on the other hand continue to fight with Celtic for the title in the Premiership. At this moment the Blues are second in the league with 41 points, but just two points behind the leader Celtic. In 16 games played so far Steven Gerrard’s team lost just once – in the big derby against Celtic.
In their last five games Rangers are almost flawless, winning four of them and doing one draw in the match against Aberdeen away from home. In the previous round Rangers visited Motherwell at the Fir Park and enjoyed an important 2-0 win. The Croatian defender Nikola Katic opened the score for Rangers, while the Colombian target man Alfredo Morelos doubled the visitors’ lead.
The bad news for Steven Gerrard came from the red card which Morelos recieved two minutes after his goal. This means that the Colombian striker will miss the visit to Hibernian. It’s a big blow to Gerrard because Morelos have scored 11 goals in the league so far. He’s an important player.
These are our sure win prediction today for the Premiership fixture between Hibernian and Rangers on Friday. The visitors need the three points here, but let’s see how they will do without their Colombian star in attack.
