Manchester City with an offer for Fred, but the answer is “no”

England’s Premier League Manchester City has made an official offer for Shakhtar (Donetsk) Fred’s midfielder but was rejected. The offer was worth 45 million pounds, but the Ukrainians are reluctant to release the 24-year-old midfielder against this amount, revealed Manchester Evening News.

Fred is the footballer for whom Josep Guardiola is pushing the most. The Brazilian national has made an excellent season so far. In the league of Ukraine he has 16 matches and 2 goals, but his most valuable qualities are the ability to stop opposing attacks and inexhaustible energy. In his face, Guardiola sees Fernandino’s perfect replacement, who also comes to Etihad of Shakhtar. Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in Fred, but it is unclear whether they will come out with offers up to the end of the transfer window or hope to attract the midfielder in the summer.

The Brazilian recently admitted in an interview that he had renewed his contract with Shakhtar for five years.
