Spain hosts Malta

It’s going to be a football night in Cadiz, because Spain hosts Malta in another round from Group F of the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Let’s take a look in our football prediction tips for today.

With six wins and two draws so far, Spain are leading the group with 5 points advantage in front of the second Sweden. This campaign was not easy for La Roja, because their manager Luis Enrique had to step down because of personal reasons. He was replaced by his assistant Robert Moreno, who managed to keep the team at first place in the group.

In their last two matches in the group Spain had to travel to Scandinavia, where they made two draws against Norway and Sweden. It was particularly dramatic in Solna, where only Rodigo’s late equaliser in the 92th time saved Spain from a first loss in the group.

The manager Robert Moreno is still testing a lot of different players, trying to pick the right ones for the European championship next summer. Against Norway and Sweden, Moreno surprised a lot of people by calling the veteran Raul Albion in defense. He’s also giving a shot to some talented young players as well.

For the games against Malta and Romania Robert Moreno called for a first time Dinamo Zagreb’s star Dani Olmo. Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata was also recalled in the team, while Borussia Dortmund’s Paco Alcacer and the 34-years old veteran Santi Cazorla were also called.

Meanwhile Malta are sixth in the group with just 3 points won so far. The Maltese team have a record of one win and seven defeats so far. In their previous game with Spain in March Malta suffered a 0-2 defeat. It was Alvaro Morata who scored both goals then.

That’s our football prediction tips for today for the European qualifier between Spain and Malta on Friday. Will La Roja surprisingly make a wrong step here? We don’t think so.
