Wenger: We were too self-confident

Arsene Wenger showed calm after the loss of Arsenal from Oosterzund with 1: 2. The defeat was not fatal and the “balls” ranked for the Europa League semi-finals, and Wenger admitted that his players had somewhat underestimated the match.

“In the first half we had problems with the speed and the creation of goals, we were too confident and we were playing with low concentration, the second half was much better and we had to score more goals, and we generally controlled the situation,” Wenger said.

“In the beginning we had no ideas, so the problems came, and when we lost the ball, there were lots of free zones, but I’m happy with the way we responded to 0: 2.” We did a good job and deservedly go ahead, “added the Frenchman.
